Makeover BY: Blake

I let her do it!!!!!  I finally just said go to town.....
We had a full on makeover party, we had guests(pretend), a cake(real), and lots of makeup.  All applied by our expert Blake.  Crazy how much she did know just by watching me get ready day to day.  She did mine first then hers.  I am a very satisfied customer!







 

 

         Got to enjoy these last few days with my girl till she goes back to school.  Love you Sugar!

Blake was so lucky to get Miss Diana and Laura this year.  When we first moved to Texas Nash had Miss Diana and we LOVED her.  She has been teaching at the Preschool for years and years and you can tell she just loves her job.  We were so excited when we got to her cookie social in her new classroom to see almost all of our friends from last years class.  There was some good friendships made with the kids and the moms so its nice to be together again.

First day of First Grade....

He wanted to ride the bus to and from school.  He had such a great day.  Good Job Nashy!

My 1st Grader

I just cant believe that I have a 1st Grader....  WHAT?
I am so proud to be this guys Mama.  Nash is such a smart, sweet, athletic, young little dude. Oh and I think pretty darn handsome.  I forget how photogenic he is then I start taking pictures of him and he is just a natural.  Nash got a call from his new 1st grade teacher this last Wednesday night.  Her name is Mrs. Jones.  We got to all go meet her on Thursday and night and see his new classroom, new desk set up and where he was going to spend his first grade days. He of course knew a bunch of kids in his class and I think his teacher got to see what she was in for with our little social butterfly Nash.

Last weekend of Summer....

I cant believe that summer is gone!!!!  We have sure made the most of it though...  I can finally say that both Nash and Blake are full on swimmers....  Practice pays off in our case! 
Nash is a total fish.... backflips, breaststroke, jumping, diving under to the bottom, handstands... all that jazz.  Blake is getting so good as well.  Swimming alone in the deep, jumping off the edge and swimming out to me.  It has been so fun watching them learn and get better at something they both love so much.  Little Reese just goes with it... watching the kids and splashing the water so hard and so much that it just covers her face.  Hopefully she will love it just as much!

Daddy set up our blow up mattress this weekend so the kids could have a sleepover before we have to get back into the school sleeping sched....
We rented a movie and got treats.  Even Reese got to lay with them for a bit.

Tanner Rascal Shortino

Meet Tanner Y'all.....
This little guy made his appearance this summer almost every night on our back door window.  The kids always check for him before going to bed and so do I before I go to bed!!!!  If he only knew what a part of our night he was... oh and that he has a name straight out of Teen Beach Movie!  haha

The first night Joey and I saw Tanner it was like we had never seen a frog before.  We whipped all every and all cameras we had and starting snapping pictures left and right.  We were looking through the pictures and I said " Geez that was like Paparazzi"!  Joey said "what, Papa and Roxy... did you see of picture of them or something...." We lost it!!!!!  Laughing so so hard.  So then of course I had to find a picture of Papa and Roxy.

1 Decade of LOVE...

I cant believe that it has been 10 years since we said 'I Do"!  Time really does fly.... I remember our wedding night like it was yesterday and wish I could re-live it again.  In the last ten years there has been up's and down's but have all lead us to this point.  We both know we can get through anything with each other and that's the love I am so grateful that I have.  It still "feels like home"....

10 Years ago. August 16th 2003

Since 10 years is Tin, I decided to make this tin can full of my top ten favorite memories I have had with Joey.  I decided to put the lyrics of our song and first dance on it as well.  It was fun reading through our memories and watching out wedding video realizing what cheese balls we were.

I think Reese is getting to that age where she is getting bored.  I move her from place to place and play with the same old things.  With not being able to sit up alone I thought it would be perfect time for the bouncer.  Gee was I right.... this little Murph went to town!!!!

Pre-K

Blake got her letter for her new teacher assignment for Pre-K.  She is so excited to get back to school and cant wait to meet her new teachers.
And of course, y'all guessed it!!!!  Had to take more pictures..... :)

Tinkerbell & Periwinkle Party

Blake's 4th Birthday party has finally come.  We spent hours preparing for this day and it turned out just perfect.  All Blake's best friends came and everyone had a blast!!!!
